Position Summary
Contiem Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Contiem, Inc., is seeking a highly experienced Content Solutions Architect with advanced expertise in S1000D. This role requires a strong background in technical documentation, the ability to confidently advise and consult with clients at an expert level and the capability to deliver Contiem-developed S1000D coaching and training. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting large-scale CSDB implementations, ensuring high-quality delivery and client satisfaction.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of S1000D Common Source Databases (CSDBs) across client environments.
- Deliver Contiem-developed S1000D coaching and training programs, tailoring content to varying client needs and technical skill levels.
- Consult with clients at an expert level to assess requirements, develop solutions, and advise on best practices for S1000D and technical documentation workflows.
- Apply expertise in SGML, XML, and S1000D to support content development, data modeling, and structured documentation processes.
- Use authoring and content management tools such as Oxygen XML Editor, Adobe FrameMaker, and Arbortext Editor to support documentation development, troubleshooting, and client solutions.
- Leverage strong technical writing skills to support documentation creation, review, and process improvement across client projects.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with development, project management, and technical documentation teams to ensure alignment and successful solution integration.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements and contribute to enhancements in Contiem's S1000D methodologies and service offerings.
- Maintain detailed project documentation and provide regular progress updates to project stakeholders.
- Ensure all deliverables meet industry standards, client specifications, and best practices for technical accuracy and consistency.
- Work with clients to define, configure, and implement Business Rules Exchange (BREX) rules.

Required Experience
- Proven experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree-level education.
- Ability to work with Aerospace, Government, and Defence Clients.
- Extensive technical writing experience within the Aerospace and Defense sector.
- Direct and extensive experience working with relevant content standards, such as SGML, XML, and S1000D.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience authoring content using tools such as Oxygen, FrameMaker, or Arbortext.
- Strong client-facing experience, including direct stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated consulting experience delivering services to clients.
Preferred Skills
- Hold or be able to obtain a UK or DoD Security Clearance desired but not required.
- Previous Training experience desired.
- Experience of ATA iSpec 2200 documentation.
Travel
Frequent travel to client sites for meetings and coaching in the UK/US and internationally.
Work Hours & Location:
- Full-time position, ideally working from our Sutton (Surrey) office.
