Description & Requirements
Bloomberg is a leading provider of news and financial information. The News Product, Technology and Publishing team develops solutions that give Bloomberg Terminal customers access to the most critical information impacting financial markets from more than 200,000 news and social media sources.
What’s the role?
We are looking for a dynamic, analytical and commercially-minded Content Strategist to help prepare social media and news content for an agentic AI future.
In this role, you will work within the Content & Audience Strategy team to shape how news, analysis and expert content should evolve as client workflows become increasingly AI-mediated.
You will help translate customer needs, market trends, product priorities, audience data and editorial expertise into clear content strategies that guide product, use case, sourcing, metadata and measurement decisions.
This is an individual contributor role reporting into the Head of Content Strategy. The team is responsible for shaping Bloomberg’s content strategy across regions and subject areas, ensuring content on the Terminal remains relevant, trusted and impactful for clients. The broader team works closely with newsroom, product, technology, data, research, sales and marketing partners to align content strategy with client needs and Bloomberg’s business priorities.
Your initial focus will include developing differentiated content strategies in two important strategic areas:
-
Breaking News Offering: Support the evolution of Bloomberg’s breaking news offering. This work is focused on ensuring that breaking news is not only fast, but structured, contextual and reliable enough for both clients and AI systems to identify, interpret, retrieve and act on material market events.
-
Expert Voices: Help develop a new approach to sourcing and structuring influential expert voices in the market. As market commentary becomes more distributed across newsletters, independent analysts, expert communities and other external platforms, Bloomberg has an opportunity to identify, evaluate and integrate high-signal perspectives into Terminal workflows.
Across both areas, this role is about helping Bloomberg’s content become more useful to human readers and more legible to AI systems. That means thinking carefully about client workflows and needs, structure, metadata, event identity, source authority, signal quality, client intent and how content is retrieved, cited and recomposed in AI-powered workflows.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
