Your Role

As a content strategist, you will be joining our growing Digital Excellence team, where we excel in user-centred design, critical thinking, problem-solving, and building digital services/products.

You will shape the strategic direction, maturity, and impact of content across our User-Centred Design (UCD) capability, leading teams, developing processes, and embedding high-quality, inclusive content practices across complex digital programmes.


What You’ll Do

Content Strategy & Planning

  • Develop content frameworks, messaging hierarchies, tone of voice guidance, and editorial standards
  • Define end-to-end content strategies aligned with business goals, user needs, and brand principles
  • Lead content audits, gap analyses, and roadmap creation
  • Establish content governance models, authoring workflows, and approval processes
  • Integrate responsible and sustainable AI content creation into workflows (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT)

Delivering User-Centred Products & Services

  • Set clear content vision and direction across entire user journeys
  • Ensure research, analytics, and service data continuously improve content quality
  • Champion accessibility, inclusive design, and standards compliance

Working with Clients & Growing the Business

  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders
  • Lead and contribute to ** bids, proposals, and pitches**
  • Ensure content design work is properly scoped and resourced
  • Support thought leadership and proposition development

Leading Our Teams

  • Lead, mentor, and coach designers, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive culture
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top content professionals aligned with business needs
  • Grow our Content Design capability through training, events, and capability development

Your Profile

You will thrive if you have:

  • Experience in hands-on delivery and team leadership, ideally in a consulting or agency environment
  • Confidence working with agile, iterative environments, collaborating closely with technical and delivery teams
  • Proven experience managing and leading designers
  • Strong stakeholder and senior audience management skills
  • A track record of growing design talent, fostering high-performing, inclusive teams
  • Experience establishing scaling UCD processes from strategy to continuous improvement
  • Familiarity with AI tooling such as Claude, ChatGPT
