Compare the Market is looking for a talented Content Writer to join our content team.

We're looking for someone who's excited by great writing, curious about how AI is changing content creation and discovery, and passionate about helping consumers make smarter financial decisions.

You'll create trusted, engaging content across a range of personal finance topics, helping customers better understand financial products. At the same time, you'll contribute to ensuring our content remains visible and impactful as search behaviour continues to evolve.

If you have strong writing skills, excellent attention to detail and a genuine interest in personal finance, we'd love to hear from you.

Some of the great things you'll be doing

  • Creating high-quality content: producing accurate, engaging and customer-focused content that helps consumers make confident financial decisions across a range of products and topics.
  • Maintaining editorial excellence: ensuring all content meets our editorial and brand standards, with a relentless focus on accuracy and consumer value.
  • Supporting our SEO and AIO ambitions: applying SEO best practice and helping us adapt to changing search behaviours as consumers increasingly discover content through AI-powered experiences.
  • Spotting opportunities and generating ideas: identifying emerging trends, customer questions and content gaps, then turning them into useful, relevant content.
  • Becoming a subject matter expert: developing deep knowledge in key content areas and acting as a trusted source of insight within the team.
  • Collaborating across the business: working closely with teams including SEO, product, commercial and compliance to deliver impactful content that supports business and customer goals.
  • Embracing innovation: using AI tools and new technologies responsibly to improve content creation workflows while maintaining the highest standards of quality and trust.

What we'd like to see from you

  • Experience creating online content, ideally within personal finance, insurance, consumer or regulated industries – OR relevant vocational training/transferable writing experience that will help you hit the ground running.
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • The ability to explain complex topics in a clear, engaging and genuinely helpful way.
  • A good understanding of SEO fundamentals and how high-performing digital content is created.
  • An interest in AI and emerging content technologies, with enthusiasm for exploring new ways to create and optimise content.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with confidence in interpreting information and data to create useful consumer content.
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative approach and confidence working and communicating with stakeholders from across the business.
  • A passion for helping consumers make better financial decisions and delivering content that makes a real difference.
