Contentious Probate Lawyer

AJ Chambers are proud to be partnered closely with an award-winning, national law firm as they look to hire a Contentious Probate Solicitor into one of their regional offices. In this role you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to high quality work and high net worth individuals.

The firm and its Solicitors pride themselves on providing world-class client experience and services on a comprehensive range of legal services to both individuals and businesses both domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities:

  • Engagement in a wide array of contentious probate work including bringing and defending I(PFD) A 1975 claims
  • Construction and rectification claims
  • Court of Protection disputes
  • Executor disputes
  • Trustee disputes
  • Proprietary estoppel claims
  • Challenges to wills
  • Business development activities in an attempt to attract and retain clientele
  • Attendance and participation in departmental meetings
  • Work collaboratively with other team members on certain cases
  • Deliver upon individual targets with supervision

Skills & Experience needed:

  • Experienced Contentious Probate Solicitor with 1+ years’ PQE
  • A good technical knowledge relating to the role and the ability to proactively upskill on any key elements to the position where necessary
  • Work well both individually and collaboratively as part of the team
  • A pro-active thinker who can take the initiative
  • Project personality and confidence to clients and colleagues
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently manage your own workload
