A leading national firm is seeking a solicitor to join its Contentious Probate team within the wider Disputes practice. Based in Cardiff, this role is open at 0–4+PQE and offers the chance to work within a highly respected, nationally recognised team known for delivering high-quality work and excellent outcomes for clients.
You will be part of a busy and growing practice advising on a range of will, trust, and estate-related disputes, including Inheritance Act claims, breach of trust matters, and challenges to will validity.

- Manage your own varied caseload with appropriate supervision
- Advise clients, progressing matters efficiently
- Contribute to complex and high-value work, including HNW disputes
The role provides strong exposure to diverse, interesting matters and the opportunity to learn from experienced and well-regarded practitioners. You will also play an active role in team knowledge sharing and be encouraged to participate in business development as the team continues to grow.
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor or legal executive with experience in contentious probate (including where this was gained during a training contract)
- Strong drafting skills
- Technical ability
- Sound client-handling skills
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Commercial awareness
- Excellent attention to detail
