Contentious Probate Solicitor, 0-4 PQE: Cardiff: Top Ranked National Law Firm
A leading national law firm is looking to appoint a talented Contentious Probate Solicitor to join its highly regarded and expanding team in Cardiff. Recognised nationally for its expertise in contentious trusts and probate work, this is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer to build their career within one of the UK's strongest specialist teams.
The Role
You will join a busy and collaborative team handling a wide range of contentious probate matters for a diverse client base. Working alongside recognised specialists, you will gain exposure to high-quality work, including complex and high-value disputes, while benefiting from excellent mentoring and structured career development.
Your Caseload Will Include
- Inheritance Act claims
- Challenges to the validity of wills
- Trust and estate disputes
- Breach of trust claims
- Applications involving the removal of executors and trustees
- Advising clients on a broad range of contentious private wealth disputes

The Candidate
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors or Chartered Legal Executives with up to four years PQE, including candidates who have gained contentious probate experience during their training contract.
You Will Possess
- Experience handling contentious probate matters
- Strong drafting and technical legal skills
- The confidence to manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- A proactive, organised, and commercially minded approach
- The ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing team
