Quality Continuous Improvement Professional (Data & Digital Expert)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Quality Continuous Improvement professional to join our high-performing team at the Barnard Castle manufacturing site. This role focuses on process improvement and optimisation for quality systems, with a strong emphasis on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital tools, and Data analytics.
Key Responsibilities
The Continuous Improvement and Data Expert (for Quality Systems) will:
- Drive digital innovation, implementing Power BI dashboards and metrics-driven insights to enhance decision-making and performance management.
- Coach and support the Quality Systems Team, liaising with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, compliance, and system readiness.
- Challenge and guide process execution, using tools like SIPOCs, FMEAs, metrics, and governance to deliver sustainable improvements.
- Ensure QMS alignment with GSK standards, regulatory requirements, and site priorities, focusing on:
- Deviations & CAPA
- Change control
- Documentation & training compliance
- Data integrity
- Digital quality systems
- Inspection readiness
- Secondment/Fixed-Term Contract (18 months) – This role has a defined duration, and potential impact on promotion or rotation in your permanent position is yet to be established.

About You
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in Continuous Improvement (preferably from regulatory, quality, or manufacturing in a highly-regulated environment).
- Strong self-motivation with excellent people skills to influence teams and drive performance.
- Degree in a relevant Scientific, Technical, or Engineering discipline (or equivalent experience in a manufacturing facility from a regulated industry).
- Solid knowledge of:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI), data, and digital tools for process optimisation.
- Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements.
- Quality Management Systems (QMS) and compliance frameworks.
Desired Skills
- Curiosity, humility, and a practical approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to embed sustainable process improvements in high-regulated environments.
- Strong analytical mindset to identify performance risks and system weaknesses.
