Continuous Improvement Engineer
Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer – Letterkenny
At Vertiv, the largest electrical switchgear and busbar manufacturer in the UK & Ireland, we deliver integrated power solutions by fusing innovation with expertise. With over 30 years in the industry, we’re seeking a CI Engineer to join our growing team in Letterkenny, driving process excellence through Lean and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
About the Role
The Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer will work under the direction of the VOS Manager but as an individual contributor, leading and sustaining process improvements across assigned departments. You will partner closely with managers, drive cultural transformation, and ensure KPI-driven advancements aligned with Vertiv Operating System (VOS) initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a change agent, diagnosing and resolving barriers to project success while fostering adoption of CI methodologies (e.g., Lean manufacturing).
- Lead business improvement projects, including:
- Data analysis and process planning
- Change management and CI training
- Collaborate with assigned department managers to interpret and deploy VOS strategies.
- Implement facility-wide site analyses, baseline business processes, and financial assessments while ensuring continuous measurement and improvement.
- Drive process excellence through:
- Facilitating peer-group knowledge sharing
- Solving operational challenges
- Identifying improvement opportunities
- Lead VOS communications, education, and training initiatives.

Requirements
The ideal candidate is a results-driven professional with:
- Proven experience in operational execution and cross-functional team leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, statistical analysis, PowerPoint) and similar software.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including:
- Communicating clearly across all organization levels
- Facilitating negotiations and problem-solving
- Engaging effectively in a matrix management environment
- self-motivation, ability to work independently, and deliver high-value outcomes.
- Demonstrated leadership without formal authority, embracing change, and systems thinking.
- Commitment to integrity, professionalism, and ethical problem-solving.
