Continuous Improvement Manager – London, E16 2EW
The ASR Group® family of companies is the world’s largest refiner and marketer of cane sugar. We produce groceries, industrial, foodservice, and specialty sweetener products. ASR is active across five North American refineries (California, Maryland, Louisiana, Canada, Mexico), with further refineries in the UK, Portugal, and a joint venture in Italy. We also farm sugarcane and own sugar mills in Mexico and Belize. Our leading brands include Domino®, C&H®, Florida Crystals®, Redpath®, Tate & Lyle®, Lyle's®, Sidul®, Whitworths®, and Tellus®—single-use, compostable tableware derived from sugarcane.
Drive the Next Evolution of Continuous Improvement
We’re seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to elevate problem-solving across UK ASR Operations, integrate AI-enabled problem solving, and shape the future of our improvements.
This high-impact, self-directed role will:
- Lead the CI agenda across multiple sites
- Partner with global CI teams
- Empower teams to embed CI as part of daily operations

What You’ll Lead
Operational Excellence
- Standardise and optimise processes by:
- Identifying global best practices and embedding them locally
- Diagnosing processes, eliminating waste, and partnering with site leaders
- Delivering measurable performance improvements
- Execute CI roadmaps and align the UK strategy with global objectives
- Support deployment of a global Operating Management System to enforce consistency and culture across all sites

Project Leadership
- Facilitate CI projects using structured methodologies:
- Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, A3, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
- Champion CI tools across all departments
- Collaborate with CI Champions (dotted-line roles) across departments to embed CI into daily operations
AI-Enabled Innovation
- Apply curiosity/experience in leveraging AI for CI
- Train and educate teams on AI-driven decision-making for accelerated improvement
What You Bring (Essential)
- A strong manufacturing background, with progressively senior experience
- Proven success in applying CI methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Toyota Production System (TPS), Theory of Constraints (TOC))
- Experience in food, beverage, pharma, or CPG manufacturing (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- Six Sigma Green Belt (preferred: Black Belt) or Lean Leader certification
- Passion for coaching, influencing, and building capability across diverse teams
- Curiosity about AI and its ability to transform CI
