Continuous Improvement & Project Manager – Sheffield
Gleeson is proud to partner with leading distributors across the UK, in the search for a Continuous Improvement & Project Manager to drive operational excellence across their supply chain network.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead business-critical improvement initiatives across warehousing, logistics, inventory, and distribution operations. Working with cross-functional stakeholders, you will deliver projects that enhance efficiency, optimise processes, improve service levels, and support the continued growth of a fast-paced distribution business.

Location & Salary
- Location: Sheffield
- Salary: £55,000 + Benefits
Key Responsibilities
- Lead supply chain and operational improvement projects from concept through to implementation and review.
- Establish clear project scopes, objectives, timelines, milestones, and resource plans.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across:
- Warehousing
- Logistics
- Inventory management
- Distribution functions
- Map current processes, identify inefficiencies, and design future-state solutions.
- Apply methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and DMAIC to solve operational challenges and deliver measurable improvements.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Operations, Logistics, Warehouse, and IT teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage project governance, reporting, and stakeholder communications throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project and supply chain risks, including:
- Operational disruptions
- Capacity constraints
- Inventory challenges
- Monitor project performance against agreed KPIs, budgets, and delivery schedules.
- Present progress updates, recommendations, and project outcomes to senior leadership teams.
- Support the implementation of supply chain innovations, technologies, and best practices.
- Develop and execute change management plans that drive stakeholder engagement and sustainable adoption of new processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational standards, and relevant supply chain regulations.

Ideal Experience
- Proven experience in a Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Project Management, or Supply Chain Improvement role.
- Strong knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies, including:
- Lean
- Six Sigma
- Kaizen
- 5S
- DMAIC
- Experience with process mapping, root cause analysis, and workflow optimisation.
- Proven stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing teams across multiple business functions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
