Job Description
Gleeson partners with leading UK distributors to pursue a Continuous Improvement & Project Manager to drive operational excellence across their supply chain network.
This opportunity offers the chance to lead business-critical improvement initiatives across warehousing, logistics, inventory, and distribution operations. In collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, you will deliver projects focused on enhancing efficiency, optimising processes, improving service levels, and supporting the growth of a fast-paced distribution business.
Job Title
Continuous Improvement & Project Manager
- Location: Sheffield

Key Responsibilities
- Lead supply chain and operational improvement projects, from concept through to implementation and review.
- Establish clear project scopes, objectives, timelines, milestones, and resource plans.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across:
- Warehousing
- Logistics
- Inventory management
- Distribution functions
- Map current processes, identify inefficiencies, and design future-state solutions.
- Apply methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and DMAIC to:
- Solve operational challenges
- Deliver measurable improvements
- Collaborate with teams from:
- Procurement
- Operations
- Logistics
- Warehouse
- IT
- Manage project governance, reporting, and stakeholder communications throughout the lifecycle.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks including:
- Operational disruptions
- Capacity constraints
- Inventory challenges
- Monitor project performance against:
- Agreed KPIs
- Budgets
- Delivery schedules
- Present updates to:
- Progress
- Recommendations
- Project outcomes to senior leadership teams
- Support supply chain innovations:
- Technologies
- Best practices
- Develop and execute change management plans underpinning:
- Stakeholder engagement
- Sustainable adoption of new processes
