Amazon Connect Consultant

Rate: £500.00 - £600.00 per day Determination: Outside IR35 Location: Remote (UK Residents Only)

This Amazon Connect Engineer opportunity is for an experienced technology consultant to lead the transition from legacy telephony to a cloud-based contact centre solution.

Work within a project-focused environment, helping a large outsourcing business migrate from Avaya to Amazon Connect. This role demands:

  • Strong technical expertise in cloud contact centre architecture
  • Excellent stakeholder management abilities
  • A focus on creating scalable, resilient, and cost-effective solutions

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements for Avaya contact centre systems
  • Design, architect, and implement cloud-based contact centre solutions using Amazon Connect
  • Develop technical documentation, high-level designs, and implementation roadmaps
  • Lead end-to-end deployment, including configuration, testing, and rollout
  • Provide best-practice guidance on building cost-effective and resilient architectures
  • Customise features such as IVR, contact flows, and integrate with AWS and third-party systems
  • Ensure seamless integration with CRM tools, databases, and reporting systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the build and deployment phases

Experience & Requirements

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing Amazon Connect solutions, including Avaya migrations
  • Strong understanding of Amazon Connect features:
    • Contact flows
    • IVR systems
    • Integrations and reporting
  • Experience with Avaya systems and cloud-based contact centre technologies
  • Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with legacy and cloud-based call centre reporting and analytics
