Role Description
The Contract Director is a full-time position, responsible for overseeing the planning, delivery, and performance of electrical contracts from inception to completion. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Estimating
- Managing multiple projects
- Coordinating with clients and stakeholders
- Leading contract negotiations
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies

The role involves:

- Supervising project teams
- Monitoring budgets and timelines
- Reviewing technical documentation
- Resolving operational issues to keep contracts on track
This position requires frequent on-site engagement with projects, suppliers, and clients to ensure high-quality service and strong working relationships.
Qualifications
- Experience leading electrical contracts, including project planning, scheduling, and resource management.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated ability in tendering, contract negotiation.
- Knowledge of electrical industry standards, health and safety regulations, and quality assurance practices.
- Proven leadership and people management skills, including team supervision.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- High level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under time constraints.
- Proficiency with project management tools, basic office software, and documentation systems relevant to contract administration.
- Relevant professional qualifications in electrical engineering.
- Previous experience in a senior contracting or operations role within the electrical industry.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel within Oxfordshire and surrounding areas as required.
