Contract Engineering Manager (/.Net/PHP)

About the Role
You will lead and coordinate four small engineering teams focused on .NET and PHP, overseeing their daily operations, direction, coaching, and performance to ensure high-quality, timely delivery.
You’ll drive technical excellence, remove delivery barriers, and foster improved ways of working—demonstrating strong AI-augmented development expertise, including leveraging tools like Claude Code and Devin.

Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Matrix-manage and lead teams across .NET and PHP, ensuring strong performance in C#, .NET, Azure, and PHP
- Quality & Delivery: Enforce high technical standards, delivery performance, and best practices
- Blocker Removal: Identify and resolve obstacles to maximise team efficiency
- Process Improvement: Refine team workflows for greater collaboration and operational efficiency
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Strengthen integration with the broader technology organisation
- Stakeholder Trust: Act as a credible partner to leadership and drive technical decision-making
- AI Advocacy: Champion AI-assisted development, helping teams integrate tools like Claude Code and Devin
- Communication & Influence: Build trust, align senior stakeholders, and drive outcomes with gravitas
