Purpose of the Role
Accountable to drive change through smart contracting. Being the Subject Matter Expert on commercial contracts and legal matters, searches innovative ways to further streamline our contract management lifecycle and empower our commercial team in negotiations.
Use contracts as leverage to transform the Group’s cost base, drive efficiencies, stimulate innovation and deployment of new technologies, manage risks and supplier performance, contribute to the Group’s sustainability goals, and enhance customer experience.
Your Responsibilities
- Drafting and negotiating high complexity commercial contracts with third parties / service providers across civil and common law jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to internal requirements and legal and regulatory compliances.
- Manage all inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions, including performing contract review, identifying typical deviations and providing/negotiating alternatives.
- Ensure accurate & timely delivery of projects, agreed reports and ad-hoc requests.
- Provide support to drafting and updating of contract changes, templates, guidelines, playbooks.
- Be able to work with senior business stakeholders to advise on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters and resolve any contractual issues.
- Support due diligence activities and other ad hoc legal projects.
- Perform legal research activities and respond to queries related to contractual documents.
- Work in a global environment with contracts (all in English) from large international companies.
- Write contracts summaries, performs document filling and maintenance of contracts database.
- Monitor contractual lifecycle and obligations of all parties and provide continuous review to ensure that all terms and conditions are met in a timely fashion.

Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant business experience in the contract environment, drafting and reviewing and negotiating contractual documents.
- Excellent contract review skills, experienced in reviewing and redlining commercial contracts in English.
- Excellent understanding of the commercial & legal implications of contract clauses on sell/buy side.
- Excellent attention to details and ability to review contract language and identify deviations.
- Great ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders such as Legal, Finance, Tax, Insurance, Procurement, etc.
- Previous contract negotiations against playbooks/manuals/internal guidelines experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English, Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
- Excellent team player.
- Advance level in Microsoft Products like Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Experience in working with contract management systems preferred.
