Contract Manager
Role Purpose
The Contract Manager is responsible for the full operational, financial, and service delivery performance of the Eurocell contract. This includes:
- Managing a multi-site transport operation
- Ensuring service excellence across a 24/5 environment
- Maintaining compliance with transport legislation
- Driving continuous improvement
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations across Alfreton, Bristol, Colchester, and Newcastle outbases
- Ensure effective utilisation of a 40-vehicle fleet to meet delivery schedules and SLAs
- Manage a 24/5 operation to maintain continuity and efficiency

People Management
- Lead and develop a team of 6 staff
- Manage stafthing levels, rotas, and performance reviews
- Build coaching and mentoring skills
- Serve as a Key Account Manager (KAM) and maintain close relationships with key stakeholders in both parties
Financial Management
- Take full P&L responsibility for an £8M contract
- Manage budgets, control costs, and drive efficiencies
Customer Management
- Serve as the primary contact for Eurocell
- Ensure service levels are met and maintained
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with UK and international transport legislation
- Manage:
- Driver hours
- Tachographs
- O-licence obligations

Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement efficiency improvements
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in transport/logistics management
- Strong experience in P&L management
- Knowledge of transport legislation
- Holder of a valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) – both National and International (essential)

Reporting Line
Reports to: Operations Director
Additional Requirements
- Availability to travel between sites
- Requirement for out-of-hours escalation support
