Contract Manager
Eurocell Senior Contract Manager
Role Purpose
The Contract Manager is responsible for the full operational, financial, and service delivery performance of the £8M Eurocell contract. This includes managing a multi-site transport operation, ensuring service excellence across a 24/5 environment, maintaining compliance with transport legislation, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations across:
- Alfreton (HQ)
- Outbases in Bristol, Colchester, and Newcastle
- Ensure effective utilisation of a 40-vehicle fleet to meet delivery schedules and SLAs
- Manage a strict 24-hour/5-day operation, ensuring continuity and efficiency
People Management
- Lead and develop a team of 6+ staff, including:
- Staffing & rota planning
- Performance reviews
- Coaching and mentoring
- Key Account Management (KAM) with internal and stakeholder alignment

Financial Management
- Hold full P&L accountability for the £8M Eurocell contract
- Budget management and cost control, with a focus on efficiencies
Customer Management
- Serve as the primary contract point of contact for Eurocell
- Monitor, report, and ensure speedy resolution of customer service issues
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure full adherence to UK and international transport legislation
- Monitor and manage:
- Driver hours of service (EU/UK regulations)
- Tachograph compliance
- O-licence renewal and fleet obligations
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement operational efficiencies to reduce costs, improve speed, and enhance service reliability

Key Skills & Qualifications
✔ Proven experience in transport/logistics management (senior-level preferred) ✔ Strong financial acumen (P&L ownership and cost control) ✔ In-depth knowledge of transport legislation and road safety compliance ✔ Current holder of a valid:
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
- National & International access (essential requirement)

- OTIF (On-Time, In-Full) Performance
- Margin/Ticket Profitability
- Vehicle fleet utilisation rate
- Regulatory/compliance audit scores
- Customer satisfaction scores
Reporting Line
Reports directly to: Operations Director
Additional Requirements
- Frequent travel between sites
- Availability for out-of-hours emergency/escalation response
