Contract Manager - Panattoni Site
The Contract Manager is responsible for managing the operational, commercial, and customer-facing functions of their portfolio of contracts, in such a manner as to provide the best possible service to the customers. Acting within the economic constraints of the business, and also to adhere to both company and customer quality standards, while maintaining good staff relations and Health & Safety standards.
Salary: £55,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
Operations
- Provide leadership and oversight for all operational activities linked to the contract
- Effectively manage the Team Leaders and indirectly all operational staff across the divisions
- Ensure that any issues with meeting expectations are promptly communicated both within Yusen Logistics business and to the customer
- Monitor contract performances against SLAs, KPIs, and financial targets
- Identify and mitigate any contractual risks, ensuring appropriate escalation where required
Customer Service
- Establish and maintain good customer relationships, acting as the key contact for the customer
- Ensure that professional and effective communication is maintained at all times
- Identify and recommend appropriate resolutions to customer queries
- Regularly manage information and accurate reporting (internal and external)

Health and Safety
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times
- Raise any non-compliances or concerns at the earliest opportunity
- Ensure all equipment checks are carried out in accordance with procedure, taking appropriate action to ensure a safe working environment for all employees
- Maintain and update site Risk Assessments, Safe System of Work and working instructions
Budget Management
- Strong commercial awareness with full P&L responsibility for the activities within the cost centres
- Ensure supplier agreements and terms of business are properly managed, taking appropriate action as necessary to address any contraventions
- Ensure full compliance with YLUK financial processes and procedures within the function
- Review and monitor the achievement of Yusen budgetary performance
- Compile a detailed monthly financial summary report to Yusen senior management. Identify and track all cost saving initiatives
Continuous Improvement
- Continuously look to improve processes and procedures to drive efficiency and improvement in business operation and customer service
- Develop other logistics revenue opportunities with the customer
- Closely analyse, promote, and identify areas for improvement within Yusen’s quality management system
- Identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact and enhance CSR
- Actively promote sustainable solutions to Yusen customers
Team Leadership
- Ensure all team members receive the required level of training and development to succeed within their current and future roles
- Manage and monitor levels of performance through the annual PDR process, objective setting, and any other mechanisms as appropriate, providing appropriate levels of mentoring and support
- Ensure that departmental organisation charts and job descriptions are maintained, updated as appropriate and accurate
- Ensure all team members are aware of key business outcomes, processes, and expectations, delivering all company communications in a consistent and timely manner, providing feedback as appropriate
- Promote and support employee engagement activities, ensuring tangible outcomes are identified, implemented, and measured
- Ensure due attention is provided to employee welfare, identifying and signposting areas of support where necessary ensuring functional arrangements are in place to protect the wellbeing of all employees
- Support HR process including, PDR, absence, performance, disciplinary, investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes across the organisation as necessary

Key Requirements:
- Warehouse management professional with broad experience of modern facilities and WMS
- Proven management experience within a FMCG operation (fast moving consumer goods).
- Commercial awareness and cost management
- Proven history of business improvement through analysis
- Team player with management skills
- Proven ability to interface with customers (internal & external)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong continuous improvement mindset
- Valid driving licence
- IT – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong leader, with good values and work ethic
