About The Role
Are you an experienced commercial contracts professional who thrives on managing supplier relationships, maximising contract value, and supporting the operation of critical renewable energy assets across the UK?
At EDF power solutions, we’re delivering an Electric UK and Ireland.
As Contract Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our operational wind, solar and renewable assets receive exceptional commercial support. You'll build strategic supplier relationships, manage complex contracts, resolve commercial issues, and help maximise performance, value and accountability across our growing renewables portfolio.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to become the commercial focal point for key operational contracts within one of the UK's leading renewable energy businesses. You'll manage a portfolio of service and operational contracts that are critical to the performance, safety and reliability of our renewable energy assets, including wind farms and associated infrastructure.
Working closely with Asset Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, HSE and external partners, you'll support the full contract lifecycle, from issuing contractual instructions and administering contract changes through to commercial negotiations, performance management and dispute resolution. You'll play a key role in ensuring strategic suppliers deliver high-quality, high-voltage services that support safe and efficient operations.
Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, you'll join a growing business operating at the forefront of the energy transition. This role offers hybrid working, with majority working from home, but you will need to travel to operational assets, supplier locations and one of our offices when the business requires. (Office locations include: London, Edinburgh, Sunderland, Dublin and Cardiff)
This role requires someone who is comfortable operating independently, managing multiple priorities and navigating a dynamic operational environment where commercial strategies and contract requirements can evolve. You'll provide commercially focused support across a wide range of operational and maintenance activities, helping to maximise value, manage risk and ensure contractual compliance across our growing renewables portfolio.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
