Contract Manager - Social Housing

Are you an experienced Contract Manager looking for your next challenge within the social housing sector? We're working with a well-established and growing contractor that is looking to appoint a driven and commercially focused Contract Manager to oversee a portfolio of responsive repairs, voids and disrepair works.

Based full-time from the company's office in Thame, you'll play a key role in ensuring operational excellence, contractual compliance and exceptional service delivery across multiple housing contracts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading high-performing teams while building strong client relationships.

The Role

As Contract Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of repairs, voids and disrepair contracts, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Managing the day-to-day operational delivery of responsive repairs, voids and disrepair contracts.
  • Leading, motivating and developing operational teams, including supervisors, administrators and subcontractors.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with local authority and housing association clients.
  • Monitoring contract performance against KPIs, SLAs and client expectations.
  • Managing budgets, cost control and commercial performance to maximise profitability.
  • Overseeing health and safety compliance, ensuring all works are delivered in line with legislation and company standards.
  • Reviewing operational performance, identifying improvements and implementing best practice.
  • Managing subcontractor performance and ensuring quality standards are consistently achieved.
  • Producing operational reports and attending client review meetings.
  • Supporting business growth by identifying opportunities for service improvements and contract development.

About You

We're keen to speak with experienced Contract Managers who have a proven track record within the social housing maintenance sector.

  • Significant experience managing responsive repairs, voids and disrepair contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of social housing maintenance and property services.
  • Experience managing operational teams and driving performance.
  • Excellent commercial awareness with strong budget management skills.
  • A customer-focused approach with exceptional client relationship management skills.
  • Sound understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
