£50,000 - £65,000 per annum dependent on experience

About the Role

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured projects, Bridgestaff Group are working with a leading construction business who are looking to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Groundworks & Civil Engineering team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive and growing business, delivering projects ranging from £50,000 to £3.5 million across the South West. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to the highest standards.

The Role

As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring operational excellence and strong client satisfaction throughout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple Groundworks and Civil Engineering projects from start to completion.
  • Oversee operational delivery, programme performance and project milestones.
  • Work closely with commercial and construction teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Coordinate labour, subcontractors, suppliers and plant resources.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Interpret technical drawings and project documentation.
  • Monitor project performance, quality, safety and compliance standards.
  • Identify and resolve project challenges proactively.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager within construction.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and project management capability.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Positive, proactive and professional approach.
