About Our Client
Our client is a leading specialist contractor within the passive fire protection sector, delivering high-quality fire safety solutions across commercial, residential, healthcare, education and public sector projects. With an established reputation for technical excellence, compliance and exceptional customer service, they collaborate with many of the UK’s leading principal contractors, developers, housing associations and facilities management providers. Their services include:
- Fire stopping
- Fire compartmentation
- Fire door installation and maintenance
- Fire door inspections
- Structural fire protection
- Specialist remedial works
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured projects, they are seeking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to join their expanding team.
The Role: Contracts Manager
As Contracts Manager, you will oversee multiple passive fire protection projects from award through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will also maintain excellent client relationships and support team progression in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple passive fire protection contracts simultaneously.
- Oversee end-to-end project delivery from pre-start to completion and final handover.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on-time, and within budget.
- Lead and support Site Managers, Supervisors and installation teams.
- Develop and maintain project programmes and timelines.
- Build and maintain strong client, contractor and stakeholder relationships.
- Chair progress meetings and provide regular project updates.
- Monitor project costs and collaborate with the commercial team for budget adherence.
- Ensure full compliance with current fire safety legislation, British Standards (BS Standards) and third-party accreditation requirements.
- Manage subcontractors and supply chain performance to maintain quality.
- Identify and mitigate project risks with effective solutions.
- Compile and maintain accurate documentation, quality assurance records and certifications.
- Drive high standards of health, safety and quality across all sites.

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Contracts Manager in the passive fire protection, construction or specialist contracting sector.
- In-depth knowledge of fire stopping, compartmentation and fire door projects.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness with hands-on experience in managing project budgets.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) qualification.
- CSCS Card.
- Full UK Driving Licence. (Advantageous: FIRAS, BM TRADA or other passive fire protection accreditations.)
