Contract Manager - IT & Telco
Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in our Glasgow or other local SSE offices
Salary: £51,600 - £77,400 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
The role
We're looking for a Contract Manager - IT & Telco to join our collaborative Procurement & Commercial team, helping us deliver safe, sustainable and value-driven outcomes across a portfolio of IT programmes and projects. Working closely with colleagues and suppliers, you'll provide trusted commercial expertise, foster strong partnerships, and ensure contracts are managed effectively from sourcing through to successful delivery.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence how we work with our supply chain, supporting innovation, continuous improvement and long-term value creation, while always keeping safety, integrity and responsible decision-making at the heart of everything we do.
You will
- Partner with IT leaders and project teams to provide pragmatic commercial guidance across a broad range of programmes and contractual arrangements
- Build strong, trusted relationships with suppliers, supporting safe, high-quality delivery against contractual commitments and performance objectives
- Lead contract management activities, including sourcing support, commercial negotiations, contract administration and supplier performance management
- Identify opportunities to enhance value, sustainability and efficiency across the supply chain, always promoting safe and responsible ways of working
- Ensure compliance with internal governance, policies and regulatory requirements, helping to embed a culture of accountability, collaboration and safety

You have
- Experience managing IT and/or Telecoms contracts, ideally across a varied and complex supplier landscape
- Strong commercial acumen, with confidence in drafting, interpreting and negotiating contractual agreements
- A collaborative and relationship-focused approach, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, alongside a genuine commitment to safe, ethical and sustainable business practices
