About the Role
We’re recruiting for our long-standing client, Boughey Distribution Ltd.
Some jobs are about clocking in and out. This isn’t one of them. At Boughey, you’ll run a busy, high-energy Contract Packing operation, leading a team, keeping customers happy, and making sure every order leaves the building on time and in perfect condition.

What You’ll Actually Do
This role is about ownership and leadership. You’ll take a busy contract packing department and make it buzz:
- Lead and motivate your team to hit daily targets while keeping morale high.
- Take responsibility for every order, ensuring it’s delivered on time, in full, and to the highest quality.
- Own the budget and drive performance – profitability matters.
- Shape the culture, systems, and behaviours so the department is ready for today and the future.
- Collaborate across functions to make processes smoother, smarter, faster.
- Drive continuous improvement – always thinking better, quicker, cleaner, safer.
- Recruit, train, and develop your people so they can perform at their best.
- Keep health, safety, quality, and compliance front and centre.
What You’ll Bring
You’re not just a manager—you’re a doer, a motivator, and a problem-solver. You’ll bring:
- Proven experience managing a production or contract packing team (food sector a bonus)
- Strong knowledge of health & safety and quality management systems
- Excellent leadership and communication skills—you get people moving and motivated
- Budget management experience and a focus on operational efficiency
- Track record of continuous improvement and delivering results
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and SAP
