Power BI Developer – ASAP Start

We're currently looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join an organisation on an initial 3-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension.

This is a hands-on role focused on enhancing an existing Microsoft Fabric and Power BI reporting platform. You'll work closely with business stakeholders to review the current data architecture, optimise reporting capabilities, and deliver insightful dashboards that support operational decision making across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Review and optimise an existing Microsoft Fabric and Lakehouse environment
  • Assess current data models, semantic models, ETL processes and reporting architecture
  • Recommend improvements around performance, scalability, governance and security
  • Integrate data from multiple business systems and APIs
  • Design and develop operational reports and interactive Power BI dashboards
  • Build robust data models, measures and KPIs
  • Work directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into reporting solutions
  • Advise on reporting best practice, automation and self-service analytics
  • Deliver end-user training and knowledge transfer to ensure a sustainable reporting platform

What We're Looking For

  • Proven commercial experience developing Power BI solutions
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure Data Platform technologies
  • Experience designing and optimising Lakehouse architectures
  • Strong data modelling and ETL experience
  • Experience integrating SaaS platforms and APIs
  • Excellent stakeholder management and business analysis skills
  • Ability to work independently and deliver within a contract environment
  • Strong communication, documentation and knowledge transfer skills

Contract Details

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: Initial 3 months (likely to extend)
  • Location: Remote / Hybrid
