We're Hiring – Contract Programme Planner (Grid-Scale Battery Energy Storage)
Advance Grid Solutions (AGS) is looking for an experienced Contract Programme Planner to support the delivery of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing EPC contractor delivering critical infrastructure that is helping shape the UK's energy transition.
The Role
You'll be responsible for developing, managing and maintaining integrated project programmes from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. Working closely with our engineering, commercial, procurement and project delivery teams, you'll ensure programmes are realistic, well-coordinated and provide clear visibility of project progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using Microsoft Project.
- Produce baseline programmes and regularly update progress.
- Monitor critical path activities and identify programme risks and opportunities.
- Work with Project Managers, Design Engineers, Procurement and Site Teams to ensure programme accuracy.
- Produce look-ahead programmes and progress reports for internal and client meetings.
- Support delay analysis, change management and programme recovery where required.
- Assist with tender programmes and planning support during pre-construction.

Essential Experience
- Proven experience planning and scheduling grid-scale Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects.
- Strong knowledge of EPC project delivery within the UK power or renewable energy sector.
- Advanced user of Microsoft Project.
- Excellent understanding of programme logic, critical path analysis and project controls.
- Ability to communicate confidently with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Right to work in the UK.

Contract Details
- Contract position.
- Competitive day rate (DOE).
- Travel to project sites and our Glasgow office as required.
- Immediate start preferred.
