Summary

We have a current opportunity for a Contract Quality Assurance Inspector located at our Aerospace manufacturing facility in Marlborough, MA. This will be a 6–9-month contract position. In this role you will be part of a small Quality Team with a Big Impact!

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with other QC inspectors and QA engineering to inspect in-house products, witness torquing of hardware, and perform receiving inspections.
  • Documenting of defects in our ERP system utilizing Non-Conformance Reports.
  • Perform receiving inspection ensuring documentation and products meet drawings and purchase order requirements.
  • Other duties, as assigned

Ideal Experience

  • 3-5 years as a QC/QA inspector in military or aerospace industries.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO9001 standards.
  • Knowledge of standard Aerospace Industry requirements.
  • J-STD-001 Space Addendum knowledge and/or certification.
  • NASA 8739.1 and/or NAS8739.4 knowledge and/or certification.

Desired Skills

  • Experience reading and interpreting Mechanical Drawings.
  • QC inspector experience in Aerospace or Military Industries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience inspecting mechanical parts utilizing calipers, micrometers, and durometers.
  • Understanding of technical documentation and the requirements needed for Aerospace products.
  • Self-starter, who strives to continuously improve processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Pay Range

$26.00 - $35.00 per hour

How We Determine What We Pay (Compensation Philosophy)

Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.

For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
