Join us and help shape the future of digital.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced Contract Product Manager to join a major digital transformation programme supporting products and services within the UK's Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) landscape.
The programme focuses on improving the digital experience for customers who generate renewable electricity and export surplus energy back to the National Grid. You'll help shape products that simplify customer journeys, improve operational efficiency, and support the UK's transition to a smarter, low-carbon energy system.
This is a fully remote contract open to candidates based anywhere in the UK.
Working alongside Engineering, Design, Data, and business stakeholders, you'll define product strategy, prioritise delivery, and ensure solutions create measurable value for both customers and the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and deliver product vision, strategy, and roadmaps aligned to business objectives.
- Understand customer needs, market trends, and regulatory requirements within the renewable energy sector.
- Own and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring delivery teams remain focused on the highest-value outcomes.
- Translate customer and business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Work collaboratively with Engineering, Architecture, Design, and Data teams to deliver scalable digital products.
- Analyse customer, operational, and commercial data to inform prioritisation and product decisions.
- Collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders across Product, Operations, Regulatory, Commercial, and Customer teams.
- Lead Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Continuously measure product performance using customer insights, KPIs, and data to drive ongoing improvements.
- Balance customer needs, commercial priorities, and technical constraints to maximise product value.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
