Overview
Are you ready for what’s next, now?
We’re looking for an HR Workforce System Expert - Oracle Time and Labor to join our team. This is an individual contributor role, acting as the senior functional authority for Oracle Fusion HCM Time & Labor. You’ll join a collaborative, global team supporting complex workforce and payroll environments at scale.
About The Role
As the HR Workforce System Expert - Oracle Time and Labor, you will play a critical role in designing, configuring, testing, and supporting Oracle Fusion HCM Time & Labor to enable accurate time capture, compliant pay outcomes, and a scalable employee and manager experience.
This role combines strategic ownership with hands-on delivery. You’ll lead complex initiatives end-to-end, influence stakeholders across HR, Payroll, IT, and external vendors, and act as a trusted subject-matter expert within a global organisation.
Success in this role requires a proactive, analytical, and collaborative professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, connects the dots across complex challenges, and drives momentum through clear communication and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oracle Fusion HCM Time & Labor Configuration - Design, configure, and maintain Time & Labor functionality including time profiles, schedules, approvals, validations, exceptions, security controls, and complex time rules to ensure accurate, compliant outcomes.
- Complex Workforce & Compliance Scenarios - Support advanced use cases including shift work, overtime, premiums, allowances, rounding, and compliance-driven constraints in regulated and/or unionised environments.
- Implementation, Testing & Release Readiness - Lead end-to-end implementations and enhancements (discovery through hypercare), own UAT planning and execution, defect management, and quarterly Oracle release readiness, including impact analysis, regression testing, validation, and controlled rollouts.
- Fast Formula, Data & Integrations - Develop and maintain Fast Formula, manage HDL / HSDL data processes, and support integrations across Time & Labor, Payroll, Absence Management, and third-party systems.
- Redwood Time Entry Enablement - Enable and optimise Redwood Time Entry (including Web Clock) to improve employee and manager experience.
- Payroll & Downstream Consumption - Partner closely with Payroll teams to ensure accurate downstream consumption of time data and reconciliation of calculated results.
- Reporting, Controls & Governance - Develop and maintain OTBI and BI Publisher reports, ensure strong data controls, auditability, segregation of duties, and support internal and external audits relating to time capture and pay accuracy.
- Stakeholder Partnership & Enablement - Work closely with HR Operations, Payroll, Workforce Planning, IT, and vendors; translate business requirements into scalable solutions; produce clear documentation, configuration workbooks, test artefacts, and user enablement materials.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
