We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an on-site Contractor Escort in HMP Long Lartin.
The salary is £27,426.
- Standard hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm (with an earlier finish every Friday!).
At Amey, we’re supporting our justice client, His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), by providing safe, clean, and efficient prisons.
By using our facilities management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly.
The Contractor Escort plays a key role in ensuring planned and reactive maintenance work within prisons is carried out safely, compliantly, and on time.
What You Will Do
- Conduct safety and contractor checks and monitoring.
- Manage site induction duties.
- Provide flexible support across operational areas, aiding contractors on-site as required.
- Assist with location and business zero carbon programmes to meet strategic and efficient carbon targets.
- Ensure Health & Safety (H&S) standards are consistently achieved throughout the contract.
What You Will Bring

- Ability to follow instructions and compliance with safety policies/procedures.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong security and safety awareness, with the ability to challenge risks effectively.

Prerequisites
Previous experience or qualifications are not mandatory; however, applicants must be able to secure Prison Security Clearance (Amey will assist with this process).
