Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level? We are looking for an experienced Contracts Engineer to join a dynamic team delivering structural repair, strengthening, and maintenance projects across a range of critical infrastructure.
This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging engineering schemes, helping to extend the life of essential assets through innovative and sustainable solutions. You'll collaborate with experienced professionals, lead project delivery, and contribute to projects that have a lasting impact.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Contracts Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading site teams and coordinating subcontractors to deliver works safely, on time, and within budget.
- Ensuring construction activities are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Managing site setting out and maintaining dimensional accuracy throughout project delivery.
- Preparing, reviewing, and implementing method statements and safe systems of work.
- Producing and maintaining essential project documentation, including Project Management Plans (PMP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Construction Phase Plans, and associated records.
- Developing, monitoring, and updating project programmes to track progress and productivity.
- Promoting a positive Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality culture across all site activities.
- Supporting effective communication between clients, site teams, and project stakeholders.

Who We're Looking For
We're looking for a motivated and organised engineer who has:

- A degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience delivering civil engineering, structural, or specialist repair projects.
- A strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control processes.
- Experience working on reinforced concrete or infrastructure-related projects.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills.
- The ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
