Contracts Manager
Leading PLC Housebuilder
Up to £95k DOE plus package
I'm working with a well-established housebuilder with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality residential communities. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of 3-4 live developments, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
The Role
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you'll take full operational responsibility for multiple housing developments, supporting and developing Project Managers & Site Managers while ensuring each project meets business objectives across programme, quality, customer satisfaction and commercial performance.

- Overseeing the successful delivery of 3-4 live residential developments.
- Leading, mentoring and supporting Site Managers and site teams.
- Driving build quality, health & safety and NHBC compliance across all sites.
- Monitoring programme performance and implementing recovery plans where required.
- Working closely with Commercial, Technical, Sales and Customer Care teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Managing budgets, resources and subcontractor performance.
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, local authorities and external consultants.
- Reporting regularly to the Construction Manager on progress, risks and performance.
About You
We're keen to speak with candidates who have:
- Previous experience as a Contracts Manager within a PLC or established residential developer.
- Alternatively, a proven Project Manager with experience on large-volume developments looking to step into their first Contracts Manager role.
- A strong track record of delivering traditional build residential schemes.
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation, NHBC standards and residential construction best practice.
- SMSTS, CSCS Card and First Aid qualifications.
