Role Description

The Contracts Manager is a full-time role based in Battlesbridge, responsible for overseeing asbestos removal and land remediation contracts from tender through to completion. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Managing project delivery
  • Coordinating site teams and subcontractors
  • Monitoring progress against program and budget
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company procedures

The role involves:

  • Preparing and reviewing contract documentation
  • Negotiating terms with clients and suppliers
  • Maintaining accurate records, reports, and risk assessments

The Contracts Manager will work closely with health and safety personnel, contribute to method statements and plans of work, and act as a key point of contact for clients, providing clear communication and timely updates. The position also requires:

  • Supporting continuous improvement in operational processes
  • Contributing to business development through strong client relationships

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience in Asbestos Contract Management, and procurement of works.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, including asbestos legislation and industry best practices.
  • Solid organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities for working with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Competence with standard office and project management software (e.g., MS Office)
  • Knowledge of Assure360 advantageous
  • Relevant professional certifications and training to the role, plus LAR have a robust training policy for CPD.
  • Valid UK driving licence and willingness to attend sites and client meetings as required.
