Ground-Tec Construction Ltd is a North Nottinghamshire-based groundworks and civil engineering company delivering high-quality services within the building and construction industry. The company specializes in roads and sewers, foundations, drainage, external works, and hard landscaping. Ground-Tec operates across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Yorkshire, and Lincolnshire, supporting a wide range of commercial and residential projects. The team is committed to reliable project delivery, technical expertise, and strong working relationships with clients and partners.
Role Description
The Contracts Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Carlton in Lindrick, responsible for overseeing the contractual and commercial aspects of groundworks and civil engineering projects. Day-to-day tasks include:
- Managing contracts from tender through to completion
- Reviewing contract terms and conditions
- Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Coordinating with clients, site teams, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Monitoring project progress
- Controlling costs to meet budget, quality, and timeline targets

The role involves:

- Preparing and reviewing documentation such as contracts, variations, claims, and reports
- Supporting risk management
- Resolving contractual issues as they arise
- Contributing to continuous improvement of processes
- Maintaining accurate records to support business performance
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in contract management, quantity surveying, or commercial management within construction, groundworks, or civil engineering.
- Strong skills in contract review, negotiation, and administration, including handling variations, claims, and payment applications.
- Proficiency with project documentation, reporting, and record-keeping, including use of standard office and project management software.
- Sound understanding of construction contracts, industry regulations, health and safety requirements, and relevant standards.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with clients, site teams, and external partners.
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
- Experience managing budgets, cost control, and financial forecasting for construction projects.
- Relevant professional qualification or degree in construction management, civil engineering, quantity surveying, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to sites within the operating regions as required.
