Role Description
The Contracts Manager role at ROCON CONTRACTORS LIMITED is a full-time, on-site position based in Basingstoke. The Contracts Manager oversees the lifecycle of civil engineering contracts, including preparation, negotiation, execution, and ongoing administration. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

The role involves close coordination with project managers, site teams, suppliers, and clients to align contractual obligations with project delivery, budgets, and timelines. The Contracts Manager also supports risk management, maintains accurate records, and contributes to continuous improvement of contract processes and documentation.
Qualifications
- Experience in contract management, administration, and negotiation within construction or civil engineering environments.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, such as standard forms used in the UK (e.g., NEC, JCT), and relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills for reviewing contract documents, managing variations, and assessing risks.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with project teams, clients, suppliers, and external partners.
- Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple contracts, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with standard office software and contract management tools for documentation, reporting, and record keeping.
- Relevant professional qualifications or degree in law, quantity surveying, construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in UK civil engineering or construction projects and familiarity with commercial practices and procurement processes.
- Commitment to health, safety, quality, and ethical business practices in all contract-related activities.
