Contracts Manager

Leiston, Suffolk

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Contracts Manager to join TCi (GB) Ltd and support our growing portfolio of projects.

This role is responsible for managing contracts and supporting the successful delivery of projects.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage contract lifecycle, including NEC3 administration, change control, and final accounts
  • Provide contractual advice and manage risks, variations, and compensation events
  • Support cost control, reporting, and subcontract management
  • Lead on contract communication and dispute avoidance/resolution
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage projects from inception to completion
  • Monitor programme, budget, and progress, implementing corrective actions as required
  • Oversee procurement, design coordination, and day-to-day site activities
  • Manage project changes while protecting contractual entitlement
  • Lead project, site, and commercial teams to achieve delivery objectives
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
  • Define roles, manage performance, and support recruitment where needed
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, company procedures, and statutory requirements
  • Promote safe working practices across all project activities
  • Oversee and manage supply chain
  • Oversee and manage estimating, pricing and QS duties
  • Manage and oversee HS&E alongside HS&E manager
  • Manage client expectations
  • Maintain and lead business development
  • Appoint and line manage support roles as and when required
  • Report concerns and issues to the director
  • Produce weekly/monthly reports on progress, change, commercials
  • Produce and manage programmes via MSP

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in Contracts Manager, Project Manager, or similar senior role within construction – values ranging from £10k – £5m
  • NEC contract administration knowledge
  • Good commercial, contractual, and project delivery understanding
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Team work values
  • Client relationship skills

Desirable

  • Degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or related field
  • Professional membership (RICS, CIOB, APM) or equivalent
  • Project management qualification (PRINCE2, APM)
  • CEMAR experience
  • Business development
  • 5 years plus contract management experience
