Location: Warley, Brentwood Reports To: Senior Contracts Manager Salary: Basic Salary + Car Allowance
About The Wiggett Group The Wiggett Group is a leading provider of electrical compliance, maintenance, and refurbishment services within the social housing sector. We work in partnership with local authorities and housing associations to deliver:
- High-quality Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
- Remedial works
- Electrical compliance programmes that ensure residents’ safety and full compliance with current legislation
About the Role
We are recruiting an ambitious Electrical Contracts Manager to support the growth of our EICR contracts. Ideal candidates include experienced:
- Electrical supervisors
- Qualified Supervisors (QS)
- Electrical Compliance Managers
- Electrical contracts supervisors
- Approved electricians seeking progression
As the Electrical Contracts Manager, you will:
- Oversee electrical compliance contracts, ensuring EICRs, remedial works, and consumer unit upgrades align with safety, efficiency, and high standard requirements
- Work closely with the Contracts Manager, managing engineers, subcontractors, and compliance with BS7671 and industry regulations
- Maintain strong client relationships while meeting operational and commercial targets
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Contracts Management
- Lead EICR programmes and affiliated remedial works
- Ensure safety, efficiency, and adherence to client timeframes
- Support contractual KPIs and service-level agreements
- Monitor outstanding remedial works, driving completion
- Identurate inefficiencies in operational performance and service delivery

Electrical Operations Management
- Operate day-to-day management of electricians, test engineers, and subcontractors
- Track engineer productivity, utilisation, quality, and attendance
- Conduct site inspections and quality audits of completed installations
- Allocate resources via workforce planning
- Ensure proper job documentation using company systems
Electrical Compliance & Technical Standards
- Confirm accuracy and timely submission of EICRs, Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs), Minor Works Certificates, and remedial documentation
- Ensure adherence to:
- BS7671 Wiring Regulations
- Electricity at Work Regulations
- Client specifications
- Support technical audits and quality assurance processes
- Maintain compliance records and certification
- Resolve technical queries from engineers and clients
Client & Resident Liaison
- Cultivate strong working relationships with:
- Housing associations
- Local authorities
- Residents
- Internal teams
- Attend client meetings and operational reviews
- Address customer complaints and technical issues professionally
- Deliver a customer-focused service

Commercial & Performance Support
- Monitor contractual costs and budget performance
- Optimize pricing and remedial works management
- Prepare operational and compliance reports
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities
Health & Safety
- Champion a strong electrical safety culture
- Ensure engineers comply with company procedures and safe working practices
- Facilitate toolbox talks, audits, and site inspections
- Involvement in accident, incident, and near-miss investigations
- Full compliance with health and safety legislation
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in electrical contracting, compliance, social housing, property maintenance, or facilities management
- Comprehensive understanding of EICRs and remedial works
- Proficiency in BS7671 Wiring Regulations
- Demonstrated supervision experience with electricians/subcontractors
- Ability to interpret electrical certification and spot compliance issues
- Strong organizational, communication, and IT skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and job management systems
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- 2391-52 Testing & Inspection
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- Experience on NICEIC or equivalent-accredited contracts
