Job Title: Contracts Monitoring Officer
Permanent, Full time – 36 hours per week
Grade: BR13 £46,952 - £50,867
Are you organised, proactive, and confident working with contracts, suppliers, and performance information?
We are seeking an experienced and technically confident Contracts Monitoring Officer to support the effective governance, monitoring, and delivery of contracts across Housing, Homelessness, Planning, Property, and Regeneration.
The role will support the full contract lifecycle, including mobilisation, performance monitoring, risk and issue management, change control, supplier engagement, financial compliance, and exit planning. You will ensure contracts are delivered in line with agreed standards, KPIs, statutory duties, financial regulations, and Council priorities.
You will analyse performance and financial information, maintain robust contract records, prepare monitoring reports, identify areas of risk or improvement, and support colleagues with best practice in contract management. The role will also involve working closely with suppliers, internal services, and partners to ensure contracts deliver required outcomes and demonstrate value for money.

We are looking for someone with strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills, with experience in contract monitoring, contract delivery, performance management, supplier management, or a related governance role. You will be able to work independently, manage competing priorities, and provide clear, evidence-based advice to support effective contract oversight and continuous improvement.
