About The Royal Ballet and Opera
The Royal Ballet and Opera is a world-leading organisation in opera, ballet, music, and dance, delivering experiences both live on stage and through digital platforms (live streaming, global cinema screenings). Since its foundation, our Covent Garden theatre has remained at the heart of London and British cultural life.
We house two premier organisations:
- The Royal Ballet
- The Royal Opera
Beyond our Covent Garden theatre, our work reaches audiences across the UK and internationally—three quarters of our audiences experience our content outside the building. While the theatre serves as the hub, our influence spans widely.
The Royal Opera Company is a core component of this entity. The team supports a dynamic schedule of productions, collaborating closely with artists, creative teams, and internal departments to manage artist contracts, music administration, and production planning.

- Ensure all workflows are met efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
