About the Company

Our client seeks an experienced Contracts & Procurement Lead to join a major carbon capture and industrial de-carbonisation project currently in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC/EPCM) phases.


About the Role

A senior-level position for a professional with a balanced expertise in contracts management and procurement, ideally gained within:

  • Carbon capture (CCS/CCUS)
  • Energy transition projects
  • Chemicals, petrochemicals, power generation, or process industries
  • Industrial infrastructure megaprojects

This full-time, site-based role, based in North Wales, includes mundane travel to London for stakeholder and technical engagement.


Responsibilities

The Contracts & Procurement Lead will:

  • Provide commercial leadership across EPC, construction, equipment, and services contracts.
  • Oversee contract execution, procurement delivery, and commercial risk management throughout project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and stakeholder teams.

Essential:

  • Extensive experience in contracts and procurement within large capital project delivery.
  • Proven track record in EPC/EPCM environments.
  • Strong expertise with IChemE contract templates and administration.

Industry Focus:

  • Experience in carbon capture (CCS/CCUS), energy transition, industrial de-carbonisation, chemicals/process industries.

Key Skills:

  • Commercial negotiation and supplier relationship management.
  • Contract administration and compliance gatekeeping.
  • Ability to thrive in mix-site execution environment.
