Location: Chesterfield Working Arrangement: Hybrid Salary: £40,000 basic + bonus + company phone + car allowance

About the Company

Our client is a well-established, family-run specialist contractor renowned for delivering high-quality roofing solutions across commercial, new build, and heritage projects across the UK. Due to continued growth and expansion, they are seeking an experienced Contracts Supervisor to aid in the successful delivery of multiple roofing contracts nationwide.


The Role

Reporting to the Contracts Lead, the ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position involves acting as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and site teams, while supervising multiple projects and maintaining excellent communication and strong commercial awareness.

This opportunity suits an organised, proactive professional with roofing or construction contract supervision experience, someone who enjoys managing projects from survey to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the daily liaison between clients, site supervisors, and the wider project team.
  • Assist the Contracts Lead in the successful delivery of multiple roofing projects.
  • Monitor project progress at all stages.
  • Compile and review Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including:
    • Conducting Tool Box Talks.
    • Completing WIP (Work in Progress) Assessments.
    • Monthly audit reporting.
  • Identify and manage deviations from proposals, including variations in scope and specifications.
  • Prepare weekly key objective reports for Directors outlining project status and workload.
  • Survey new projects, providing measurements, proposed specifications, and client requirements to the estimating team.
  • Attend on-site meetings as needed.

Requirements

You Must Have:

  • A full and valid UK driving license.
  • Previous experience supervising roofing or construction contracts, such as:
    • Experience as a Contracts Supervisor.
    • Projects experience, or roofing experience.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work independently with a positive and proactive approach.
