The Role
We are seeking an Industrial Electrician responsible for the installation, maintenance, calibration, and testing of electrical systems and instrumentation across the site. The role sits within the Maintenance function and also supports infrastructure modifications and project activities as required.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Install, maintain, calibrate, and test electrical systems and instrumentation across the site.
- Support maintenance and operation of plant control systems, including DCS and local controllers.
- Carry out testing of interlocks, alarms, and safety systems in line with detailed procedures.
- Apply technical knowledge of flow, temperature, pressure, and control valve instrumentation.
- Support both planned maintenance and modification of existing infrastructure.
- Install and maintain electrical equipment within hazardous areas.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site standards, procedures, and legislation.
- Keep knowledge up to date through internal and external training.
- Work collaboratively across disciplines, supporting shutdown and maintenance activities as required.
- Dynamically assess tasks and develop appropriate RAMS for both planned and unplanned work.
- Safely operate mobile access equipment such as MEWPs, cherry pickers, and scissor lifts.
- Participate in a 1 in 4 on-call rota and respond to site callouts within one hour.

Creating Extraordinary Starts With
- Level 3 City & Guilds Electrical qualification (apprentice trained/Approved Electrician preferred).
- Proven industrial or plant experience.
- BS7671 Wiring Regulations (18th Edition).
- CompEx certification (EX01–EX04) for hazardous area work.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation installation, maintenance, testing, calibration, and commissioning.
- Understanding of process safety systems, including alarms and interlocks.
- Awareness of industrial communication protocols (Industrial Ethernet, AS-i, Profibus, HART).
- Competent IT skills, including basic networking and infrastructure knowledge.
- Basic chemical and mechanical awareness.
- Awareness of gas-fired heaters (desirable).
- Ability to work safely at height using mobile access equipment.
- Experience in assessing work and producing RAMS.
- Strong team ethic with a proactive and flexible approach to supporting other disciplines.
- Ability to meet callout requirements, including residence within one hour of Four Ashes.
