Control Manager (f/m/x)
Control Manager (Chief Control Office)
We are hiring for a Control Manager role within the Chief Control Office, supporting enterprise-wide technology risk and control initiatives. The role focuses on governance, risk and control management, process design, operational oversight, regulatory reporting, and the continuous improvement of risk management frameworks.
The selected candidate will define and maintain risk and control processes, support internal and external reporting, drive governance activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen operational controls while ensuring consistent risk management practices across the technology organization.
Location
This is a hybrid role based at the client’s office in Sheffield.
Core Responsibilities

Process Design & Improvement
- Support the design and continuous improvement of risk and control management processes, aligning them with organizational requirements, industry standards, and best practices.

Performance Monitoring
- Measure and monitor risk and control management processes, ensuring objectives and desired outcomes are achieved.

Process Execution
- Execute risk, control, and governance processes in a timely, consistent, and compliant manner.

Exception Handling
- Identify and escalate exceptions in risk and control processes to leadership and relevant stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance existing processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Stakeholder Collaboration
- Manage and collaborate with stakeholders across "multiple lines of defence", collecting feedback and providing operational support and guidance.

Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in:
- Technology Risk & Control Management
- Governance
- Operational Risk
- At least 5 years of experience in:

Hybrid Work
- Open to hybrid work from the Sheffield office.

Compliance & Risk Frameworks
- Strong understanding of:
- Risk & Control Frameworks
- KCIs (Key Control Indicators)
- KRIs (Key Risk Indicators)
- KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
- Risk assessment, governance, and compliance processes
- Strong understanding of:

Stakeholder & Communication Skills
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
