Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and experienced Control Room Operator to support the safety and security operations at one of our prestigious client sites. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and ensuring the protection of people, property, and assets. You will work closely with operational teams, emergency services, and the client to maintain a safe and secure environment. This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise daily with peers, operational management teams, and the client
  • Operate, monitor, and prioritise all security systems within the Control Centre
  • Manage access and egress in accordance with site-specific Assignment Instructions
  • Record all events, observations, and actions taken within the control room
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents or security concerns
  • Report system faults following the correct escalation process
  • Work collaboratively with emergency services and external security partners
  • Produce accurate written reports on incidents and occurrences
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all persons on site
  • Perform additional duties as required

We’re Looking For People Who Are

  • Friendly, approachable, and professional.
  • Calm under pressure and confident in decision making.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experienced in CCTV or control room operations.
  • SIA CCTV licence holders (essential).
  • Ideally hold an SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding licence.
  • Able to work 12-hour shifts including days, nights, weekends, and event days.

Requirements

  • SIA CCTV Licence (REQUIRED)
  • Previous control room or CCTV experience in a public area – at least 1 year
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm in emergency situations
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel) and ability to use monitoring systems
  • 5-year checkable work history
  • Right to work in the UK
