The London Museum is one of the United Kingdom's most prestigious cultural institutions - home to world-renowned collections and welcoming visitors from across the globe. At the centre of its safety and security is a highly skilled Control Room operation, providing real-time oversight, coordination, and response across the entire estate.

We are now seeking an exceptional Control Room Supervisor to lead this critical function. This is a high-impact role where leadership, precision, and calm decision-making ensure the protection of people, priceless artefacts, and the Museum's reputation.

This is more than a supervisory role - it's the nerve centre of a complex, high-profile operation. You'll be leading from the heart of security decision-making, ensuring rapid, accurate, and professional responses that keep the Museum safe, secure, and welcoming at all times.

If you are a confident leader with strong operational awareness and a passion for excellence, this is your opportunity to take control of something truly important.

About The Role

You will:

  • Lead and supervise the Control Room team, ensuring a professional and effective operation at all times
  • Oversee the monitoring of CCTV, alarm systems, fire detection, access control, and other security technologies
  • Maintain constant situational awareness across the Museum estate, identifying risks and emerging issues
  • Coordinate and direct responses to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in line with procedures
  • Allocate tasks, brief teams, and ensure clear communication throughout each shift
  • Ensure all incidents, actions, and system activity are accurately recorded and reported
  • Support and develop Control Room Operators, promoting high standards and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, Assignment Instructions, legislation, and data protection requirements

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
