Controls Designer
This is an entry‑level technical position with opportunities for skill development and progression toward independent design responsibility.
Design industrial control panels including electrical schematics and panel layouts using CAD tools. Select and size electrical components in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes. Optimize panel layouts with consideration for spacing, heat dissipation, and serviceability. Prepare complete drawing packages for fabrication and installation. Execute assigned design tasks in alignment with defined project scope and timelines. Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and internal stakeholders during design and build phases. Provide technical clarification and respond to design questions during manufacturing and field installation. Participate in design reviews and incorporate technical feedback when appropriate. Apply relevant electrical codes and industry standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, IEC where applicable). Follow internal design procedures and documentation standards. Perform additional duties as required to support departmental objectives. Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Electrical Technology, or related technical field OR equivalent hands‑on industry experience. 2–4 years of relevant experience in electrical or controls design environments. Working knowledge of programmable logic controllers, motor controls, sensors, and industrial instrumentation. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining quality and productivity expectations. Valid driver’s license and ability to meet standard pre‑employment screening requirements. Experience with electrical design platforms such as EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical. * Exposure to 3D panel layout or enclosure modeling tools. * Familiarity with industrial automation system design practices and documentation methods.The Account Manager is responsible for driving growth by managing customer and partner relationships, advancing opportunities through the pipeline, and ensuring early and effective engagement in relevant pursuits.
