We own and operate leading entertainment and news brands, including NBC, NBC News, NBC Sports, Telemundo, Bravo, Peacock, and operate industry-leading theme parks and experiences through Universal Destinations & Experiences, such as Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood. Our mission is to create world-class content and deliver immersive experiences while fostering an inclusive culture and giving back to the communities we serve.
About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist to provide end-to-end technical, project, and contract management for ride and show systems, including their design, production, installation, and commissioning. You will collaborate closely with vendors, project teams, Engineering & Safety, and Ride/Show leaders to ensure the successful delivery of Ride Control and Show Control Systems in compliance with technical specifications, budgets, and schedules.
This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management, and vendor coordination to translate creative intent and business goals into executable technical solutions. You will be responsible for reviewing designs, test protocols, and vendor deliverables, executing testing activities, and ensuring adherence to Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies.

- Provide technical support for the full cycle (specification → bid/award → design → production → installation → acceptance testing) of ride and show systems, including Ride Control and Show Control Systems.
- Manage and coordinate vendors through the full scope of work: bidding, design, manufacturing, testing, shipping, installation, startup, and commissioning.
- Offer technical guidance and vendor management throughout day-to-day design, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Serve as a bridge between creative teams and technical execution, translating business goals and creative vision into technical specifications, bids, and contract agreements.
- Support the development of detailed technical documents (specifications, test protocols, and plans) required for vendor acquisition, pricing, and scheduling.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
