A Snapshot of Your Day

Join our dynamic team where you will play a crucial role in testing product components and functional systems as part of a comprehensive engineering solution. Imagine working to detailed layouts and mechanisms for complex product component build and test that push the boundaries of innovation. You will be involved with Controls manufacturing / testing including process and efficiency improvements. Engage with cutting-edge software and modern manufacturing techniques. Your keen eye will help identify design errors and recommend improvements, ensuring our projects meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • To execute tests in accordance with the production programme.
  • Responsibility for resolving technical issues.
  • Excellent fault-finding skills and techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders in the organisation such as Drawing office, Application Engineers, Customers, Suppliers and Project Managers.
  • Conduct customer witness tests.
  • Produce and maintain test documentation, TSPs and I/O sheets.
  • Produce or update any TSPs required.
  • Support cabinet build and small module build/ test areas as required.
  • Identify design errors and recommend revisions to enhance layout and functionality.
  • Collaborate with engineers and senior designers to ensure clarity and accuracy in all designs
  • Involvement with continuous improvement activities within the area
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety procedures to promote a safe working environment

What You Bring

  • Ideally Time served apprenticeship in electrical/electronics
  • Minimum of HNC in electrical and electronics engineering.
  • Familiarity with Siemens PCS7, S7 and Control logix PLCs and software platforms; ability to change and modify programs to adapt to new projects.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess and improve manufacturing processes
  • Attention to detail to identify design errors and recommend improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret and verify complex electrical schematics

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
