About the Role

Department: Direct Protection & CRO
L&G Retail is seeking a Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) Manager to lead and enhance optimization efforts across our Direct Protection digital customer journeys.
This is an ideal opportunity for a data-driven professional passionate about using customer insights, experimentation, and analytics to improve digital journeys. As the CRO owner, you’ll:
- Define and execute a strategy to boost conversion, customer experience, and commercial outcomes.
- Manage the full experimentation lifecycle—from hypothesis development and prioritisation to testing, deployment, analysis, and recommendations.
- Maintain a CRO backlog aligned with customer behavioural trends, analytics, and business objectives.
- Derive actionable insights from qualitative and quantitative data to identify friction, opportunity levers, and next-best actions.
- Partner with developers, analysts, compliance, marketing, product, and external stakeholders to deliver impactful experiments.
- Translate findings into clear stakeholder communications at all organizational levels, ensuring alignment on outcomes.
- Champion a data-driven experimentation culture based on customer-centric principles.
- Innovate with personalisation, predictive modelling, and journey automation across omni-channel touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities
- Shape and deliver the Direct Protection CRO strategy to optimise conversion, customer experience, and commercial results.
- Oversee the full A/B/multivariate testing workflow, including:
- Hypothesis generation and prioritisation
- Quality assurance (QA)
- Deployment, execution, and ** preb 스페 clothesian analysis**
- Build and iterate CRO backlog against customer insight, business analytics, and strategic targets.
- Use data and customer feedback to uncover friction points, conversion drivers, and actionable improvements.
- Collaborate with technical teams, product, compliance, and marketing to design and deploy targeted experiments.
- Document and share test results, insights, and business impacts across all stakeholders.
- Drive adoption of CRO best practices, encouraging a customer-first, data-driven culture.
- Explore emerging techniques for personalisation, predictive analytics, and journeys automation in omnichannel proxies.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
Experience & Skills
- Proven expertise managing end-to-end CRO initiatives across digital channels.
- Hands-on experience with A/B testing, multivariate testing, and experimentation tools, such as:
- Adobe Target
- Optimizely
- VWO
- Similar platforms
- Expertise in data analytics tools, including:
- Adobe Analytics
- Google Analytics
- Track record of owning or shaping a CRO strategy, roadmap, or experimentation backlog.
- Strong grasp of UX principles, customer behaviour, and conversion best practices.
- Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams—developers, analysts, compliance, product, and marketing.
- Capacity to translate data and customer insights into actionable recommendations and measurable outcomes.
- Helpful but not essential: Familiarity with:
- Front-end tech ( serm overlap
- Session replay
- Heat mapping
- Usability testing
- Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum)

- Agile thinker with a data-driven mindset and a passion for continuous customer improvement.
- Highly organised and confident in leading wide-ranging initiatives with clear business impact.
- Comfortable shaping strategies and translating technical insights for diverse stakeholders.
